Here’s our list of top five fun cities in the US:

1. Los Angeles, CA

Outdoor adventure enthusiasts can head to the hills for hiking, horseback riding, or a wander through Griffith Park.

If its museums and galleries you’re looking for, then make sure you visit the Natural History Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Getty Center, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Other must-see locations include the Dolby Theatre and the Hollywood Bowl.

2. Chicago, IL

Chicago ranks highly for nightlife and entertainment. You’ll find some of the country’s best restaurants in Chicago, like Alinea, Oreole, The Berghoff, Girl and the Goat, Gibsons’s Bar and Steakhouse, or Johnny’s Beef. And you can’t visit Chicago without tasting some delicious, and world-famous, deep-dish Chicago-style pizza.

Hear some live blues at Kingston Mines, some late-night jazz at the Green Mill, or get into some house music at Smart Bar. Or, for a more relaxed vibe, try some genuinely great local brews at either the Old Town Ale House or Beer Temple.

Navy Pier, the Cloud Gate Sculpture, Millennium Park, and the Magnificent Mile are some fun ways to spend time in Chicago.

3. New York, NY

New York is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, with over 60 million visitors each year, making it one of the busiest destinations in the world. New York is about fun, excitement, and entertainment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue for shopping, Broadway for entertainment, Times Square for excitement, the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building for architecture, Central Park for some relaxation, the Brooklyn Bridge and Grand Central Station of some iconic locations, the Museum Mile for some history and culture. And the list goes on and on. New York is simply one place you need to see to believe.

4. Houston, TX

Being the fourth-largest city in the US by population, it’s not surprising that Houston offers some genuine Texan-sized fun for visitors. Houston is home to the Texas Medical Centre, the world’s largest concentration of medical and research institutions in the world, as well as being home to NASA’s Johnson Space Station, and the Port of Houston, the country’s second-largest port.

For those looking for some history, art and culture, Houston has some a large number of world-class museums, like the Art Car Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, and The Menil Collection, home to Andy Warhol’s famous Campbell’s Soup Cans.

Spend your days touring some fantastic parks and playgrounds, like the centrally located Hermann Park, the Houston Zoo, or catch a concert or play at the Miller Outdoor Theatre.

Don’t forget that you’re only an hour from the beautiful Mexican Gulf, so if you need some beach time, head to the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier for some great amusement rides, carnival games and delicious food.

5. Boston, MA

Boston is one of the oldest cities in the US and is rich with history, culture and beautiful architecture. It has been the scene of some key historical events like the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre, the Boston Siege and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Boston is a sports-fanatic city. If you’re looking to catch a game, you can head to Fenway Park to see the Boston Red Socks, TD Garden to watch either the Celtics or the Bruins, depending on the time of year, Harvard Stadium for a college football game, or Gillette Stadium for a Patriots game.
